Presidents' Table
The “Presidents‘ Table“ is installed exclusively for the high-ranking participants of this conference from Korean research institutions or governmental organizations. In this forum, the participants have the unique opportunity to learn about the German research systems and academia from a leading German scientist.
As invited guest speaker, Prof. Rosner from FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH) will give a talk about the landscape of basic research in Germany and the structure of German research organizations. Prof. Rosner currently serves as the Research & Administration Managing Director of the FAIR. Together with his world class scientific career, he has also ample experiences in higher education as the Cargill Chair of Natural Philosophy at the University of Glasgow in U.K. A brief introductory presentation of Prof. Rosner is followed by a free discussion round. This session will provide the Korean presidents with a lively forum to share the views with Prof. Rosner on the perspectives of basic research and higher education.

Prof. Dr. Gunther Rosner is the Research & Administrative Managing Director of Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Europe GmbH (FAIR), Germany. He is also the council member of European Physical Society (EPS) as well as the member of the Nuclear Physics European Collaboration Committee (NuPECC) of the European Science Foundation (ESF).
